From hours of searching to minutes.
PrimaCite is an AI assistant that saves busy doctors and pharmacists time. It searches and synthesises the clinical literature in minutes and, on request, drafts professional documents: literature reviews, PowerPoint presentations, SOPs and more.
PrimaCite follows three principles: Trust, but verify. Truly medical. Evidence, not guesswork.
Autoreview.Cross-check.Board meeting.
PrimaCite reviews answers before you read them, at your chosen level: Autoreview against the cited evidence, Cross-check by a second, independent model, or a Board meeting with specialist perspectives simulated by PrimaCite.
- Autoreview: the answer is re-read against the cited evidence.
- Cross-check: a second, independent model reviews the answer.
- Board meeting: PrimaCite simulates a multispecialty discussion, with a moderator summarising the conclusions.
The answer, with its sources open beside it.
PrimaCite searches your hospital's internal documents, specialty-society guidelines and peer-reviewed literature before answering. It writes from what it finds, in a doctor-to-doctor tone. Open a citation and check it yourself.
What counts as evidence
- Your hospital's internal documents
- Specialty-society guidelines
- Peer-reviewed literature
- Not accepted: open encyclopedias, patient-facing pages
Trust, but verify.
Answer review
You choose the review level for the reliability you need: the deeper the review, the more thoroughly the answer is checked, and the longer it takes.
No review
PrimaCite answers straight away, with no review step.
Autoreview
PrimaCite re-reads the answer and checks it against the cited evidence.
Cross-check
A different, independent model reviews the answer.
Board meeting
PrimaCite simulates a multispecialty discussion, and a moderator sums up the conclusions.
Board meeting uses specialist perspectives simulated by PrimaCite, not a consultation between doctors. PrimaCite can still miss errors despite closer review.
Evidence, not guesswork.
PrimaCite searches before it writes. It cites what it can, and says so when it can't.
General-purpose AI assistants decide for themselves whether to look anything up. PrimaCite searches for evidence before drafting the answer, and the product is designed around that sequence.
Step 1
Search from several angles
PrimaCite breaks your question into its parts and searches each one across your hospital's internal documents, specialty-society guidelines and peer-reviewed literature.
Step 2
Write from search findings
PrimaCite writes the answer from the evidence it found, in a familiar clinical structure: key points, comparison tables, decision trees and easily missed pitfalls.
Step 3
Cite, or say no source qualifies
Citations are numbered and linked to their sources, so you can open them and check. If no source meets the standard for a claim, PrimaCite says so rather than inventing one.
| General-purpose AI assistants | PrimaCite | |
|---|---|---|
| When it looks for evidence | It decides for itself: sometimes it relies on what it learned during training, and sometimes it runs one quick web search. | Before drafting an answer, PrimaCite searches from several angles across your hospital's internal documents, specialty-society guidelines, peer-reviewed literature and web sources. |
| What the answer is based on | The answer relies on what the system learned during training or skimmed in a quick search. It may be unreliable, contain unsupported claims, and miss parts of the question. | Evidence found through the search, covering the different parts of your question. |
| Citations | Citations remain sparse even after a web search: many claims have no citation, so you cannot open the original source to check it or dig deeper. | Citations link directly to the original source, so you can open it and check it yourself. When no qualifying source supports a claim, PrimaCite says so. |
| Who the answer is written for | The general public. It often advises the reader to see a doctor, explains basic concepts in lay terms, and skims over the clinical detail doctors need. | Doctors. By default, PrimaCite answers in a doctor-to-doctor style and stays focused on the question asked. |
| Flexibility | A single, fixed style for the general public, with no choice of answer length, number of citations, search depth or review level. | You choose, for each answer, its length, the number of citations, the search depth and the review level. |
Like other AI systems, PrimaCite can still be wrong. Use it with care and check the cited sources. The clinical decision remains the doctor's responsibility.
You choose the depth of each answer.
No prompt engineering needed: ask as you would ask a colleague, then choose how much depth the answer needs.
Length
Choose a quick check or a full analysis for each question.
Search depth
How many angles the search explores and how many sources it uses.
Citations
How many sources support the answer and are shown with it.
